The exclusive D24 commemoration cake will be served alongside new and signature durian favourites during its annual Durian Fiesta
Every year, since 1983, fans have been looking forward to Goodwood Park Hotel’s annual Durian Fiesta. But the year's edition, which takes place from mid-March this year, is extra special, as it coincides with the 200th anniversary of Sir Stamford Raffles arrival in Singapore (in 1819).
And that’s exactly why the hotel's inspired chefs have crafted the D24 Singapore Commemoration Cake, a 1kg beauty comprising luscious cubes of gula Melaka, coffee, pandan and durian mousse flavours; it’s also bedecked with white chocolate squares depicting historical scenes of Goodwood Park Hotel and Singapore’s storied past.
Available from March 15, it’s truly a must-have considering only 200 cakes are available, and you'll need to order at least five days in advance.
But even if your fingers aren't fast enough, there are plenty of Durian Fiesta creations to get excited about; including six new flavours featuring the sweet and decadent D24.
If for you the pairing of durian and cheese is a match made in heaven, don't miss out on the D24 Royale Cheesecake—a decadent combination of durian mouse and luscious cream cheese. Also worth noting are the D24 Strawberry Bliss, chockfull of durian pulp enlivened by the sweetness of the fruit, and the D24 Matcha Mont Blanc Tart, an aromatic local rendition of the classic French dessert.
