Back for its 38th edition, the pastry chefs present a repertoire of new flavours and perennial favourites to enjoy from March 8 to August 1

We’re already in the month of March, and for durian lovers, this marks the return of Goodwood Park Hotel’s annual Durian Fiesta. Harvest must be really good this year as the celebrations run from March to August 1. And just like the previous years, the hotel’s pastry chefs have created a mouth-watering collection of new and signature durian pastries using the premium D24 and Mao Shan Wang varieties.

1. D24 Mousse Cake

This has been an all-time favourite since it made its debut in 1983. This year, the chefs have created a luxurious adaptation of the original cake, which comes with generous lashings of pulpy durian mousse.

2. D24 Puff

Another classic that sees bountiful swirls of durian filling sandwiched between fluffy choux pastries. They may be small in size but one is enough to satiate your durian cravings.

3. D24 Trio Chocolate Cake

Durian and chocolate fans, this one's for you. Indulge in this luscious masterpiece, featuring a crunchy base of hazelnut feuilletine and seven layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate mousse, D24 durian mousse and chocolate sponge. Finished with a dark chocolate glaze, dark chocolate feathers and tuile.

4. D24 Pandan Waffle Cake

We all love waffles as an afternoon snack such as this warm and pillowy pandan-flavoured treat is slathered with decadent D24 pulp. It is served with a generous drizzle of caramelised coconut sauce and crowned with gula melaka coconut crumble and coconut flakes.

5. D24 Kueh Dadar

Inspired by the South-East Asian confection, the appetising snack has a pandan-flavoured crepe encasing a mix of D24 durian pulp, freshly grated coconut cooked with gula jawa, Indonesian coconut sugar. Topped with coconut flakes and caramel sauce.
