Jay Khan, Gagan Gurung, Antonio Lai and Beckaly Franks are due to bring a taste of the Fragrant Harbour to the Little Red Dot

Singaporean members' club 1880 and marketing agency The Foundry Asia are joining forces to present four of Hong Kong's top bars for one night only in an event led by 1880's beverage director Josh Wilson. Taking place on October 16 in anticipation of the inaugural World's 50 Best Bar Awards in Asia, the lineup boasts internationally renowned bartenders Jay Khan, the owner of Coa; Antonio Lai, beverage director of Quinary; Beckaly Franks, the owner of Artifact, Call Me Al, Ponty Cafe, and The Pontiac; and Gagan Gurung, the owner of Tell Camellia and co-founder of Singular Concepts

On the night, guests can expect 12 innovative cocktails featuring Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin and Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin. Khan's featured cocktail, the Mole Negroni, combines Ki No Bi Gin, tequila reposado, Carpano Antica Formula, Campari, Ancho Reyes Verde, cacao husk tea; while Lai showcases his style of multisensory mixology with the signature Earl Grey Caviar Martini, which infuses Monkey 47 with elderflower syrup, apple juice, Cointreau, lemon, lime and the head-turning addition of Earl Grey-infused caviar and foam.

Having received the Asia's 50 Best Altos Bartenders award in 2023, Franks is known for her bold and eccentric persona. Franks will be pouring the Black Bamboo, a crushable mix of Ki No Bi Gin, black shallot vermouth, and amontillado sherry. Lastly, Gagan Gurung of the tea-focused Tell Camellia will present a tea-based twist of the dirty martini in the Tea Sea, a savoury blend of Ki No Tea, genmaicha tea, oyster distillate, and clarified yuzu.

The eight-hands bartending guest shift comes ahead of 1880's expansion into their first overseas outpost in Hong Kong, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2023. RSVP for the event online here.
