Raise your glass if you love this classic cocktail!

Negroni is arguably one of the most well-loved cocktails in the world, so much that Campari and Imbibe Magazine created a week-long festival for it. In Singapore, 50 bars have signed up to celebrate the third edition of Negroni Week from June 5 to 11.

Other than the fact that you’ll enjoy the libation in over 50 different ways, you’ll also be doing it for a cause. “One of the greatest aspects of Negroni Week is that bars have the autonomy to support the causes that are close to their hearts,” shares Brad Timbrell, Gruppo Campari’s Asia regional director. And for every Negroni-inspired cocktail you order, a percentage of the proceeds is donated to charity.

With that, here are the most inventive Negronis to get you started.

Sous Vide Negroni

Nutmeg & Clove | Charity: Beyond Social Services
A classic Negroni is made up of equal parts Campari, sweet vermouth and London Dry Gin. At Nutmeg & Clove, however, the bartender updates this version with floral notes from the Hendricks Gin and doesn’t follow the equal amounts of liquid rule. Furthermore, the concoction is sous vide to strengthen and round off the flavours. Sold in bottles.

Sonic Negroni

Tippling Club | Charity: Hagar International
Trust head bartender Joe Schofield to create something fantastic, and for the Negroni Week, he’ll be serving up the Sonic Negroni from the Sensorium menu. It’s concocted with Fords Gin, Campari, Martini Rosso and Cocchi Torino, which are then aged using ultrasonic sound waves. It gives the drink a barrel-aged flavour which is finished off with housemade jelly.

Uncle Negroni

Mitzo |  Charity: Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e.v. and German Child Hospice Association

Head bartender Marco Pignotta gives the classic Italian cocktail an Asian twist by mixing it with Genever infused with red dates, Vermouth del Professore and Bitter Campari. It’s barrel-aged for a month for a bittersweet mouthfeel.

Blackwood Negroni

Manhattan | Charity: Run for Hope

Assistant bar manager Gabriel Carlos was inspired by Black Forest to create their offering for Negroni Week. Sloe gin, with its nuanced botanical flavours, is used to counter the bitterness of the Campar, then topped with beer for some welcome fizziness.

Rosemary Negroni Cooler

Sugarhall | Charity: Alzheimer’s Disease Association

“Rosemary was my grandmother’s name, who suffered Alzheimer’s disease and passed away last year,” confesses senior bartender Rhyse Borland. So for Negroni Week, he remembers her with a refreshing fizzy drink that uses Campari, overproof rum, Cinzano rosso vermouth and passionfruit syrup.

Tagay-roni

Astor Bar |  Charity: Food from the Heart
Bar manager Christian Chavez pays homage to his home country with an aged rum from Mount Kanalon in the Philippines, which he says pairs well with Campari. You know that else mixes well? Vermouth, and he uses two different types for slight dryness and sweetness.

Her Royal Highness

Fat Prince | Charity: Children’s Cancer Foundation
As a Middle Eastern restaurant, it’s important to bartender Loga Raj to highlight this in their Negroni. Hence, he infuses mace—an ingredient commonly used in Istanbul—to the Campari and adds in butter pea flower to give it a purplish hue and add a royal touch. It also has citrus notes that blends well with The Botanist gin and mace.
