When Nespresso re-opened its boutique at Ion Orchard on July 4, it wasn’t just about the spanking new space. It also took the opportunity to introduce what might just be one of the coolest machines around for coffee and design enthusiasts.
The Creatista Plus, which will be available in stores later this month, is quite the looker, and one of the brand's more advanced options. It has a fancy-looking steam wand as well, but don’t let its features intimidate you because it's actually really easy to use. At the media preview, the in-house barista explained that it comes with a number of pre-set milk-based recipes to help customers create anything from a velvety smooth flat white to a classic cappuccino.
Creating latte art—a skill some baristas take weeks to master—is now possible, even at home, thanks to the built-in steam wand, which comes with a thermometer. Often, the hardest part about creating latte art is not about the 'pouring' but making sure that milk is steamed at a correct temperature and consistency.

Says Eliz Tan, Nespresso’s senior brand manager, “The introduction of the new Creatista Plus machine gives latte art lovers the opportunity to enjoy quality portioned coffee with cafe-milk consistency at home—whilst also adding creativity to their Nespresso moment.”
The Nespresso Creatista Plus is available for in-store trial and pre-order at Nespresso’s Ion boutique from now until July 21, and will be available nationwide from July 22.
