Royal Plaza on Scotts’ Carousel restaurant has invited Japanese guest chef, Koji Tamaru, from Kampachi, a signature restaurant of Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur for its second tenure and it looks set to be successful once again. Chef Tamaru has more than 35 years of culinary experience from renowned establishments in different countries such as Japan, The United States, Malaysia, and more. Catch chef Tamaru demonstrating the art of slicing tuna and try his culinary skills in special seasonal dishes that are authentically Japanese. The ingredients of the seasonal dishes are freshly flown-in from different parts of Japan. The air-flown Japanese Akagai (ark shell), Hokkaido Gin-Karei (silver flounder) and Ika Shiokara (squid with spicy sauce) are popular authentic Hokkaido dishes. Guests can also look forward to tasting highlights such as Hokkaido snow crab, Hokkaido king crab leg, Surumi Ika (squid) and Ma-Tako (octopus tentacles). Chef Tamaru will be showcasing his signature dishes such as Shiro Maguro Kuro Koshou Yaki (grilled butter fish coated with black pepper and wasabi dressing), Gin-karei Nitsuke (simmered greenland halibut) and Unagi & Salmon Nama Harumaki (eel and salmon wrapped with rice paper).  Selected as the Best Buffet Restaurant in the recent AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards 2009, and top buffet restaurant by The Straits Times, Carousel is well-known for its wide variety of dishes on the buffet counters and diners have more reasons to tuck into this sensational Hokkaido seafood spread that’s should not be missed.
