The distillery has launched its new range of whiskies, which comes in a new packaging that harks back to the first Benriach Single Malt released over two decades ago
Benriach is one of Speyside, Scotland’s storied distilleries that has caught the attention of the whisky world when it launched its latest flavour-forward core range of whiskies last year. Created with three distinct styles—classic, peated and triple distilled—these quickly racked up accolade after accolade including gold medals at the San Francisco Spirit Competition and the third spot on Whisky Advocate’s prestigious list of “Top 20 Whiskies of 2020”.
This achievement won’t be possible without the direction of master blender Dr Rachel Barrie, who may stick to the traditions of whisky-making but is never afraid to stretch the creative boundaries.
“The new range perfectly marries tradition and innovation that is central to Benriach’s story,” explained Barrie, who created unique whiskies that span the full spectrum of flavours and come in new packaging. Here are four that captured our palate:

1. The Original Ten
This Speyside single malt is the true definition of the distillery’s signature smooth and multi-layered flavours, achieved by maturing the distillate for at least 10 years in three special casks—bourbon barrels, sherry casks and virgin oak. “In the new Original Ten, a more richly flavoured, rounded malt character might be discerned,” explained Barrie, and this gets even better with luscious layers of orchard fruits, toasted oak and subtle hints of smoke.
