The e-commerce giant’s online grocery platform—integrated into the website and app—offers an enhanced shopping experience and additional features

Online shoppers, take note. From May 18, e-commerce giant Amazon will cease its Prime Now app; instead, you will be able to shop on Amazon Fresh, its new and improved online delivery platform that has been integrated into Amazon Singapore’s website and app.

In a blog post, Amazon Singapore country manager Henry Low mentioned that the decision was brought about by the company’s “continued investment in grocery and ultrafast delivery”, especially in Singapore which has seen a sharp rise in online grocery shopping over the past year.

The new platform offers an enhanced online grocery experience with several add-on features. The first, of course, is convenience as you can choose to shop on the go using the app, or at home via the website.

For inspiration, aspiring home cooks will be glad to know that there is a dedicated page on shoppable recipes. That means that if they find a dish they want to cook, there is a function that lets them easily shop for the ingredients. After submitting your purchases, you can still continue adding items to your checked out cart until the Amazon team prepares your order. These will be delivered to your doorstep within the two-hour time frame.
