CATO

Southbridge has gotten livelier with the addition of CATO, a new bar and restaurant that takes up two floors of space in one of the shop houses within this area. Offering modern Asian cuisine, the menu is divided into a la carte and small plates.

While both are equally tempting, the latter has good old comfort food such as the CATO Chicken Wings in special sauce and favourites like the Crispy Squid in Thai Style Glaze & Toasted Seaweed. As these all come in smaller helpings, you can easily order more dishes to try.

Esquina

Singaporean hotelier, Loh Lik Peng, and British Chef, Jason Atherton, bring to our country the lively Spanish tapas vibe with the opening of Esquina. Tucked away in a small corner at Jiak Chuan, it never fails to draw in throngs of crowd (even without a reservations policy) with its extensive menu that offers modern tapas creations.

Tantalising the palate are Chef’s signatures that include the Raw Scallops, Sesame, Lemon, Radish & Dill and Grilled Octopus. Aside from seafood, there are also other offerings from the soil and land as well as desserts to round off a good meal. Finish it off with a classic Sangria or Spanish beer for a filling experience at  Esquina.
