While this Brazilian-style coffee is best enjoyed as an espresso, its bittersweet flavour also makes the perfect base for dessert-style drinks.

Once you’ve tried cafezinho, you will understand why Brazilians love this drink. Traditionally served piping hot in a small cup, it first hits you with a pleasant aroma. Upon the first sip, your senses will be awakened with its potent and sweet character.

Fortunately, you don’t need to fly all the way to South America to sample a cup, as Nespresso is launching its very own limited edition Cafezinho do Brasil.

To capture its authentic flavours, the experts at Nespresso worked with Brazilians to discover their aroma and flavour preferences. Using that as inspiration, they created a potent brew that captures the essence of the cafezinho in an espresso. How? By using carefully selected Arabica beans sourced only from Brazil.

With an intensity level of nine, each cup delivers with its pleasantly bitter taste that’s accented by pulped natural sweet bourbon. It also has a velvety texture, along with unexpected hints of walnut, sandalwood and herbal notes.

The easiest way to enjoy this is as an espresso. If you prefer, you can add milk and turn it into a cappuccino or a latte macchiato. Need more ideas on how to prepare your Cafezinho do Brasil? Here are some easy recipes to try:
