Let the feasting begin!

Go on an Easter egg hunt, round up the family and continue the celebration by wining and dining at some of the best restaurants in town. There is no shortage of great options this year, whether you’re craving for roasted meats, fresh seafood or Peranakan classics.

Ellenborough Market Café

There are plenty of options for the little ones and the young-at-heart here. Walk past the carving station and see if you can resist the glistening roast pork with a crackling skin, or the herb-crusted leg of succulent lamb meat.

But pace yourself for what’s to come: fresh seafood on ice; Peranakan favourites such as chicken satay and kueh pie tee; and desserts. The durian pengat is not to be missed (as always), but exclusive to the event are the bunny carrot cake and the colourful Easter eggs.

Lime at PARKROYAL on Pickering

Have a long, leisurely meal here because the chefs have extended their Easter brunch to four glorious hours.

Make a stop at the egg station for the 65 degree sous-vide egg with asparagus, lobster and albufera emulsion, and follow the heavenly aroma of the delicious roasts for a slice of the roasted beef prime ribs.

We hope you have a separate stomach for desserts, so you can tuck into an assortment of roasted marshmallows (we’re all for the gula melaka and matcha flavours!), green tea chocolate fountain and hot cross buns.

Don’t forget to bring the kiddos. They’ll have an equally fab time at the kiddy corner with face painting sessions, bouncy castles and an Easter bunny mascot.

Call 6809 8899 or email lime.prsps@parkroyalhotels.com for enquiries and reservations.

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Get this: the huge space at Colony is not large enough to host The Ritz’s lavish Easter offerings, so they will be using The Grand Ballroom to host the buffet spread for kids as well! This will be complemented by a plethora of activities like face painting, Easter egg hunt and rides.

In the main dining area, chefs at the live stations will spoil you with signatures like Italian meat pie, roasted baby lamb and Scotch quail eggs. Enjoy your brunch with free flow juices, bubbles and fine wines.

Call 6434 5288 or email rc.sinrz.restaurantreservations@ritzcarlton.com for enquiries and reservations.

Cafe Mosaic

Other than the mouthwatering spread, there’s so much to look forward to at Café Mosaic. There are tons of activities such as the baking class (limited to 10 pairs only), where you can learn how to make hot cross buns with your tots.

You can also treat yourself to the offerings at the seafood station, brimming with scallops, tiger prawns and black mussels; cold entrees such as shredded roast duck salad and fusilli pasta with chicken chipolata and cherry tomatoes; and a carving station offering the slow oven leg of lamb with tomato mint sauce. .

What’s waiting for you at W Singapore Sentosa Cove come April 16? First, the chefs will use the freshest produce and transform them into mouthwatering creations like the salmon confit with spicy tomato chocolate coulis or the braised beef chees with chocolate trimmings.

There’ll be loads of activities for the kids, too. Let them hunt for Easter eggs or have their faces painted while you tuck into your meal and sip on free flow champagne, house wines and cocktails.

The Carvery

If your idea of a grand Easter celebration is indulging in meats, make The Carvery your first stop. Head straight to the carvery station, have your fill of delicious roasts including the Argentinian ribeye, which will blow you away with its robust flavour, or the Australian lamb shoulder, with a smokier (rather than gamey) taste. Toss in the wood-fired hot cross buns to complete the feast.

There’s also a kids’ hall where children can fill up on mac & cheese; beef nachos with sour cream and guacamole; and mini red velvet cupcakes.

Call 6828 8880 or email thecarvery.phal@parkhotelgroup.com for enquiries and reservations.

Opus Restaurant

There are a staggering eight live stations at the Hilton Singapore’s Easter spread. The spread of meats (US prime ribs, herb roasted lamb rack, and German pork knuckles, among others) are impressive, and so are the 30 types of cheeses (raclette, anyone?). You’ll also find a variety of foie gras, and a seafood and oyster bar.

For dessert, the highlight is their famous cheesecakewhich come in four flavourspresented alongside other sugary creations and yes—a teppanyaki ice cream station.

Dolce Vita

Dining here is akin to celebrating Easter Sunday in Italy, where a typical Italian family would prepare a lavish feast of Italian cold cuts, pasta, seafood and meat.

The casatiello, a traditional Neapolitan savoury cake with pork sausage, gruyere cheese and sage, is always the showstopper. Brunch will be complemented by unlimited pours of Ruinart champagne as well as a dessert spread with too-pretty-to-eat treats.

P.S. Don’t forget the chocolate Easter eggs!

Available on April 15 and 16. Call 6885 3500 or email mosin-dining@mohg.com for enquiries and reservations.

Oscar’s

Photo: Conrad Centennial Singapore

This year’s theme is chocolate indulgence, and there will be a Chocolate Dessert House with a ‘live’ chocolate tart making station, and fresh ice cream. But don’t just stop at the chocolate, because it would be a pity if you skip out on the savoury creations.

The chefs will be dishing out freshly made pasta and poached eggs (prepared a la minute), Filipino-inspired suckling pig, barbecued meat and seafood at the outdoor BBQ station.

Available on April 15 and 16. Call 6432 7481 or click here for enquiries and reservations.

Edge

Photo: Pan Pacific Hotel

If you thought Edge’s offerings couldn’t get any more extensive, they prove us wrong with their Easter Sunday brunch. The usual favourites are there (think: fresh seafood, roast meats and dishes from the chef’s speciality trolley), enjoyed with free flow Veuve Cliquot, wines and other beverages.

But, the dessert bar has been given an upgrade with classic Easter delights like hot cross buns, colourful Easter eggs, handmade macarons and an Easter Chocolate Garden with an assortment of candies and pralines. Hop over to the Pacific Marketplace for more sugary creations for a sweet ending.
