While season on season, Karl Lagerfeld likes to keep us on our toes with some wonderfully unique pieces, there is no denying it's the classics that keep us coming back for more.

Well, with this in mind, Chanel have just released their latest high jewellery collection 'Les Intemporels de Chanel' - literally meaning 'Timeless.' Inspired by the four symbols so synonymous with Gabrielle Chanel's life work and heritage, the high jewellery collection, elegantly glittering in diamonds looks set to join the ranks of the Chanel 2.55 in terms of classics.

So just what are the four symbols, well there's the lion, the comet, the ribbon and of course, the camellia. While the comet and the camellia come in a variety of forms including necklaces, earrings and rings adorned with diamonds and pearls, the ribbon and lion feature some stunning white diamonds, black onyx and even pink and blue stunning sapphires.
