Bold, bright and beautiful bags and shoes take centre stage for Jimmy Choo Summer 2015

There is a reason Jimmy Choo is called the king of the red carpet; because they produce the most stunning, eye-catching bags and shoes around. And for Summer 2015, that's certainly no exception.

With the influence of the work of traditional tribal artisans mixed with the bold geometric patterns seen in the works of acclaimed Swedish artist, Hilma af Klint, this contrast of the traditional merged with the abstract is brought to live with a variety of fabrics. For bags, there's the tactile raffia and shoes are swathed in a variety of exotic skins. In terms of colour, the collection plays with monochromes mixed with pops of yellows, pastels mixed with blacks for a superbly surrealist feel.

Speaking of the collection, Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo Creative Director said: "I was drawn to the colour palette of Klint combined with the almost scientific influences in her work; there is a sense of discovery, feeling both liberated and calm. My muse was a modern day Josephine Baker; I admire her spirit and strength. Her bohemian style and electic ethnicity meant she was an icon of her time and wasn't afraid to break the rules. I found myself imagining what she would be like if she were alive at this time."
