Just because you haven’t met her, doesn’t mean you don’t know Velda Tan. You might recognise her as the co-founder of million-dollar online boutique Love, Bonito—though she isn’t involved in the business anymore—or as Belluspuera, her fashion-lifestyle moniker and Instagram handle. The 27-year-old has over 100,000 followers scrolling through her wanderlust-inducing travel pictures and daily stylish musings, as well as deftly shot #selfies and #OOTDs, mainly lensed by her equally dapper husband, Frederick Yap. Her virtual catalogue also features impeccably lit food shots, many of late taken at new restaurant Pince & Pints, co-founded by Yap. Velda is also building a new venture of the sartorial kind, set to launch later this year. Whether or not it will tap into one or all of her skills in fashion design, fashion marketing or floristry, having taken some time off to study them at Central Saint Martin’s and Judith Blacklock Flower School last year, has yet to be revealed. Perhaps she will drop hints in between stylised shots in outfits by contemporary labels Three Floors, Self-Portrait, Cameo The Label and Innit Bangkok to name a few.
