It girl, Insta-famous, and the Angel of Valencia, Kim Lim lives the high life, always in the spotlight. She spends a whirlwind 72 hours in Paris, going from front row at Louis Vuitton’s runway show to its heritage home in Asnières, stopping for street style shots along the way.

Many know her name, her face and even the nail art on her fingertips. They know she’s constantly jetsetting from island paradises like the Maldives to Seoul and, of course, Valencia, where she’s perpetually trailed by paparazzi and fans. At the football club Valencia CF, famously purchased for ¤420m by her billionaire father Peter Lim last year, Kim and her dad are hailed as heroes who saved the club; fans constantly message her, urging her to attend key matches as they believe she’s the club’s “angel” and lucky charm.

As a VIP guest of Louis Vuitton, Kim was in Paris for just under three days, and her itinerary was packed with round-the-clock photo shoots, lots of wining and dining, and essential retail therapy in between attending the autumn/winter 2015 show and visiting the maison’s founder’s family home in Asnières.

Day 1…

CLOSET FULL
Filled to the brim with a boutique’s worth of clothes, Kim’s suite at Hotel Plaza Athénée was transformed into our photo shoot base where hair, make‑up, outfit changes and many animated moments revolving around all things French and fashionable happened.

SCENIC START
“I’d get my hair and make-up done on the plane if I could,” said Kim, descending upon Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. Showing no signs of jet lag, the true jetsetter that she is, she leapt right into action for our first shoot, skipping along Pont de Bir-Hakeim and jumping on and off a revolving carousel along Avenue des Nations Unies.

MARCHING FORWARD
Put her on set and Kim is three things: committed, candid and fearless. It was an early-March day in Paris—still winter—but our 23-year-old braved the cold in a summer ensemble as she strutted her stuff in the bustling boulevard in front of Place de la Concorde.

Day 2…

THE STAND OUT
Nicolas Ghesquière’s autumn/winter 2015 collection is 1970s redux, in his contemporary-luxe spin. Not unlike the models that walked the runway at the Louis Vuitton show, the statuesque Kim stands at 1.7m tall and has innate style that she injects into every ensemble.

STAR APPEAL
Kim and Abel Neo take in the show from the front row inside special geodesic domes built beside Fondation Louis Vuitton. It’s celebrity galore, with Jennifer Connelly, Michelle Williams and Dianna Agron among the VIP guests. Post-show, Kim and Fan Bingbing strike a pose.

COOL & COLLECTED
She has a penchant for comfy casuals and banters with friends in Singlish, but Kim rises to the occasion when necessary. Having spent her formative years in England, where she attended an all-girl boarding school in Hertfordshire, she effortlessly switches to Queen’s English (yes, she can turn on a spot-on British accent, too), with the poise fit for a meeting with the royals.

Day 3…

RETAIL THERAPY
An early call time at the break of dawn for hair and make‑up, a fashion show, and photo shoots throughout; a day in the life of Kim Lim in Paris makes quite the story. But no matter how packed her schedule may be, “there is always time to shop”. Fortunately, the newly refurbished Louis Vuitton boutique on Avenue Montaigne is just a stone’s throw away from where she was staying, the grand Hotel Plaza Athénée.

HERITAGE HOUSE
Open only to very special guests, the Louis Vuitton family home in Asnières was the last stop of the trip. Kim got an exclusive private tour of the century-old art nouveau house and the fully functioning historical workshop across the garden where all the rare and exceptional leather goods and special orders are made till this day. She even got a sneak peek at the special Louis Vuitton SG50 “Singapore Red” Petite Malle set to launch in August this year.
