In the midst of the Spring-Summer 2014 edition of haute couture fashion week (January 19 to 24), we catch up with designers Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov, of the couture house On Aura Tout Vu, which unveiled its new collection on January 20 in Paris. The two stylists offer some insight into the inspirations behind their latest designs.

1. Where were you when you found the inspiration for this collection? What was the ‘light-bulb' moment?

In Paris. Our light-bulb moment occurred at the "Dynamo" exhibit at the Grand Palais.

2. If you had to sum up your collection in just one piece, which would you choose?

The n°10 dress in "mesh spacer" (a fantastic high-tech material) embroidered with rhinestones and light.

3. Could Rihanna, a true fashion icon, represent your label? What look would you pair her with?

Why not? We could picture her in a black tulle jumpsuit embroidered with crystals.

4. Has a particular couturier inspired you in the past or present?

Generally speaking, we are more inspired by artists! For this collection in particular, we were inspired by Malevich, Joseph Beuys and Bruce Nauman.

5. What do you dislike about the fashion world?

We could write a book...
