Singapore Fashion Week is set to begin on the 13th of May 2015 with American designer and President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Diane von Furstenberg gracing the opening event for her show. Known for her signature wrap dresses and iconic prints, Diane will be showcasing her Autumn/Winter 2015 collection at Singapore Fashion Week.

Previously called the Audi Fashion Festival, the event has been recently rebranded and sees an all-important partnership with the CFDA, giving local designers international exposure and access to CFDA's business expertise. Through this partnership, two other CFDA members, will present their collections on the runway. Previous designers taking part have been Carolina Herrera and Prabal Gurung.

Diane herself will be giving a series of public talks at Lasalle College of the Arts. There will also be an opportunity for local designers to participate in an exclusive mentoring session with her. With the aim of putting a Singapore designer on the global marketplace by 2016, the SFW's strong industry focus is seen in the tie-ups with Net-a-Porter and the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) as well as the Blueprint 2015 initiative, an open shopping event where consumers and international buyers can meet with new emerging designers and preview their latest wares.

Singapore Fashion Week will be held at the Tent@Orchard, Ngee Ann City from 13th - 17th May 2015.
