The 12-hour Fashion Hall of Fame photo shoot was a team effort with four inductees, a dog and a crew of eight.

It was back in 2009 that we last inducted a man into the Singapore Tatler Fashion Hall of Fame with Dick Lee and we had four individuals compared to the duos and trios in recent years. It appears 2015 is a record-breaking one. We have our second male inductee, and, instead of four, we have four-and-a-half stunners: Shabnam Arashan, Stephanie Lee, Chan Kok Weng, Elaine Lim-Chan and Tin Tin, the Chans’ most well-mannered and well-groomed Yorkshire Terrier who isn’t an official inductee, but still stars in our spread, having patiently waited and posed through an almost 12-hour shoot.

Proof Living’s ultra-luxurious showroom in Ion Orchard became the set for our shoot. So naturally, “make yourself at home” was the greeting of the day as the four arrived toting and wheeling bags full of clothes, accessories and a wealth of jewels, all of which bear special meaning to their lives and styles. Petite powerhouse Shabnam brought a secret weapon though—a supercharged green juice that kept her revved up till nightfall, while Stephanie came with her effervescent mum Jessie Lee and was later joined by her husband Choo Ken-Yi.

The crowning moment, however, was to see all the inductees on set together, all of whom had received very similar beauty looks with blunt-banged bobs to boot—Kok Weng politely declined the makeover—and yet looked so different, each standing out for her and his own distinctive style.
