What trends should we be looking out for this festive season when it comes to eye colours?
This festive season, look to express yourself with pop liners; keep it graphic but natural at the same time. I would say there is an element of romance to the new M.A.C technokhol liners that is perfect for the festive season.
 

With many of us leading such busy lives, how best do you suggest taking your make-up from desk to dinner?
A colour eye liner can add a mood of spontaneity to your look, don’t be afraid to try out a colourful eye liner. Sometimes the simplest line can make the face more interesting and look far more modern. You could be wearing a brown shade of eye liner for the day, but you can easily transform the look by using a brighter shade of liner like Skyscape Technakohl liner (sky blue) or Brass Band (copper bronze) over the existing brown eye liner. Another fun and vibrant way to update the look is by using the colour liner like Vent Technakohl liner ( metallic lime) just on the lower eye lids.
 
We are often told that liners make the eye look smaller – is this true?
Yes, it is true to some degree. The eye will look smaller if you use a black eyeliner to line the upper and lower eye lid.  However, this can look really sophisticated and is most preferred for an evening look.The simplest way, and quickest trick not to make your eyes appear smaller, is just lining the upper eye lid only.

 
How do we get a wide eyed and awake look using liners?
To make the eye look more awake, just line the waterline of the lower eyes with Snowed In Technakohl liner (off white). Or you can just line a quarter of the lower inner eyes with Sterling Silver Technakohl Liner (silver)
 
If we are going for a dewy eyed look, how can we achieve this with the liners?
For a dewy eyed look, remember to lift up your eyelid and line from the bottom of the eye lid. This way you will create an invisible liner that still gives you the statement.
 
What colours suit which eye colour and skin tones?
When choosing an eye liner, base it on your eye colour and not skin tones. For Brown eyes, you can use purple, gold and green eyeliner to compliment. For Blue eyes, you can go for brown, violet, deep blue, silver or grey. For ladies with green eyes, you can go for brown, gold, bronze and deep purple.
 

What are the most common mistakes ladies make when using liners?
Sometimes people might use the same colour eye liner for their entire life. I would say, if you been using a lot of neutral shades, then try out the colour one. You will surprise you how easy it is to transform into a new look. Another mistake is that using the eye liner straight on to the eye lid - this looks very harsh and a bit fierce. My advice would be lining the eyes with 266 Brush, this will get you a more refined look.  
 
How do the technakohl differ from other liners?
The beauty of the technakohl  liner is that it has an enduring formula. It features a unique combination of plant-derived waxes, providing a soft, comfortable feel, while staying smudge- resistant for up to eight hours. This self-sharpening and retractable mechanical eye pencil glides on easily and the ultra-thin liner makes creating fine or thick lines easy. It is my favorite pencil to line the inner rims.
