Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini is no stranger to journeying into distant lands. It is of no surprise, then, that Gucci's latest fragrance, Gucci Oud, exudes the deep and sensual notes of the orient. Staying true to the brand's ethos, Gucci Oud is a unisex scent that seeks to heighten the senses of those with a keen sense of adventure. Ancient ingredients from the east are intepreted in a contemporary way, giving rise to a scent that is both seductive and mysterious.
The luxurious fragrance is created from an organic and unique source of oud that has been specially chosen and cultivated for Gucci. The oud wood from Laos is distilled and processed to yield an extract that is highly purified and 100% natural. The resulting fragrance sees the sweet scent of pear and raspberry mingling with saffron, before succumbing to the bloom of Bulgarian roses and orange flowers. On the dry down, musky undertones – most notably that of patchouli – add the finishing touches to this deeply sensual fragrance.
