As a pharmacist, Rachel Wee manages to perfect the delicate balance of looking professional and fashionable at the same time. Taking a leaf out of model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid’s style book, Rachel’s wardrobe is filled with neutral-hued wide-legged pants, ladylike pencil skirts and stylish dresses by Australian labels such as C/meo Collective, Finders Keepers and Sheike. “Work has influenced my style to be more conservative, but I still have fun with it,” says the younger daughter of Jean Yip and Mervin Wee.
She injects her love for colours with statement accessories, which range from an orange Hermès Clic-Clac H bracelet to a hot pink Chanel Boy bag. She’s also obsessed with high heels, although she’s given up wearing them to work. “I only lasted a few days because they were killing my feet.” She’s since succumbed to wearing flats instead, and on her wish list is the Gucci Ace sneaker with a gold-embroidered bee. “I’m loving Gucci’s new design concept. Its eclectic vibe is tasteful and cool.”

Rachel favours retail therapy to ease the effects of her long work hours. She scours websites such as Farfetch and BNKR (Fashion Bunker) for her fashion fix, but there’s one item you’ll never find in her virtual shopping cart: culottes. “I find them rather unflattering and sloppy-looking.”
Just like Clark Kent’s quick transformation to Superman, the 28-year-old can also switch from healthcare professional to off-duty style star in a jiffy with just makeup. “At work, I have on foundation, eyeliner, blusher, and lipstick. After work, I highlight, contour, and apply eyeshadow and fake eyelashes,” says the unabashed beauty junkie.
