Familiar faces on the social scene, these individuals have tirelessly championed charity causes, brought life to parties and organised or thrown scintillating soirees and events. They have used their life experiences and business connections to benefit the causes they support- all with wit, glamour and charm.  

Our highly prestigious 300 List is one of the things Singaore Tatler is most-known and loved for. Each week, we will bring you a look at a selection of people behind the list, the men and women helping shape the society we live in. This week we look to the Social Stalwarts, the people whose charisma and charm brings life to the charities they support and events they organise.

Celeste Basapa

A history and art lover, Celeste Basapa, a veteran fundraiser, was on the organising committee for The Love Gala and co-chaired the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Gala in 2014 which raised an average of $1million. As well as being a trustee of her family-owned estate of H Sompah, Celeste is a true humanitarian who supports various organisations including Singapore Red Cross Society.

Genevieve Peggy Jeffs

In 2013, Genevieve was granted the highly prestigious Singapore Red Cross Commendation Award, showing her dedication and passion towards charitable causes. A supporter of numerous fundraising charities, she also chaired the organising committee for Fashion For Humanity Red Cross Charity Dinner in 2013 and the Singapore Red Cross International Bazaar in 2012.

Paige Parker

A social stalwart and true regular on our Tatler pages, Paige Parker is a patron to numerous educational charities both locally and internationally as well as being a freelance writer and graduate gemologist. Having joined the SSO Ladies League in 2014, Paige is currently hoping to spend more time as a volunteer at Nanyang Primary School, where her daughters are enrolled.

Tan Min-Li

Winner of Tatler's Most Stylish award, Tan Min-Li is a managing partner of Colin Ng & Partners and is recognised as being a leading lawyer in the AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers 2014 and the International Financial Law Review. With a keen eye for film, she is the executive producer for the upcoming film, The Man Who Knew Infinity, which began production in 2014. Married to Kevin Low, she enjoys baking and collecting art. 

Susanna Kang

The always stylish Susanna Kang first won the Leadership Award for Most Stylish in 2010 and was inducted into the Singapore Tatler Fashion Hall of Fame that same year. As a committee member of Wild Rice, she supports various charities including the World Wildlife Fund and the Yellow Ribbon Fund. Susanna is married to Han Seng Juan, a renowned former stockbroker who controls Centurion Corp.
