The nuptials of Yvonne Lim and Alex Tien brought out the celebrities and who’s who of Singapore in a high-wattage celebration.
With a guest list that included Singapore’s top celebrities, notable ministers and members of high society, the wedding of Yvonne Lim and Alex Tien on September 7 last year was an enchanting evening filled with laughter, love and lots of well wishes.
The bride was resplendent in her gowns by CH Wedding in Taiwan, matched with sparkling jewels by Bulgari, while her groom cut a dashing figure in a Vera Wang tuxedo.
Being the first high-profile union in a long while for a Mediacorp star, the wedding had guests enjoying the decadent dinner in the presence of all the celebrities in attendance.
The groom, a former member of Taiwanese boyband B.A.D., had exchanged vows with his bride the day before, in a ceremony that had all the close friends in attendance shedding emotional tears.
At the 49-table wedding dinner held at Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, congratulations flowed as freely as the champagne and merrymaking. The ballroom was decorated in a pink and white theme – Yvonne’s favourite colours – while the a screen projection showing a garden decked in four seasons completed the dreamy setup.
Grace Yeh, godmother of the groom Alex Tien, told Singapore Tatler, “Our family is very close-knit and we love children. I am very happy to see the couple start their family despite both leading such busy careers.”
The couple has since welcomed the arrival of their baby boy, “A.J.” (for Alex Junior), on December 27, 2014.
