Work never ends for Indra Kantono; it may be 2am, but he will be lying in bed scouring social media and the internet for new trends and concepts. This passion led him and his wife Gan Guoyi to open cocktail bar Jigger & Pony in 2012, and three more bars and a seafood restaurant in quick succession. To date, Jigger & Pony, Gibson and Sugarhall have scored spots on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for two consecutive years since 2016, with Gibson nominated as one of the Best New International Cocktail Bars 2016 by international cocktail festival, Tales of the Cocktail. Yet, it is not accolades the 33-year-old is interested in. “Every night at our bars, I want to see our customers happy, even if it is just for a few hours.” But he still considers his liquor wall at home his greatest treasure—thankfully, he has "a strong liver" to keep him going.
