The Italian style masters have spoken, and it a head-to-toe prescription for stylish spring accessories.
For the ultimate hat upgrade, the cap is where it's at. Models at Versace, Dsquared2 and Fendi were spotted hiding beneath baseball caps. The top teen hat craze is back on the catwalk as Italy's finest designers inject their accessories' collections with a little youth serum.
Fendi's Spring/Summer 2018 collection included several variations in neutral suede effect canvas with contrasting logo-embossed peaks while military chic all-leather sailor style versions were worn with black neck ties and belt-style chokers at Dsquared2. Streetwear meets baroque was the inspiration at Versace where patchwork baseball caps featured the brand's signature prints.
Buttery soft leather carry-alls and two tone slick hold-alls with luxurious tan or navy leather trim were king on Giorgio Armani's spring runway while Fendi, true to form—offered bags of style: a compact leather man bag with signature charm, metal clasp and embossed logo, a sporty carry-all with softball charm and greige casual totes and leather pouches, both featuring a watercolor effect coffee cup design.
On the footwear front, Giorgio Armani played matchmaker, coordinating two-tone white and tan leather-accented oversize bags and lace-ups, and nailing casual elegance in the process.
Dsquared2 unveiled their take on the ultimate statement dress shoe. Step into spring in lustrous black leather footwear with shiny silver western belt buckles. Take a tip from Dsquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten by matching your socks with your trousers, and make them spearmint green.
