Visualising Christmas as a beautiful white winter’s day, the annual Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135 Christmas luncheon last November saw the Tower Ballroom at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore peppered with stunning arrangements created by members of the organisation. Following a welcome speech by president Viola Yong, floral design extraordinaire Harijanto Setiawan of Boenga swiftly whipped up five Christmas floral arrangements, while Robert Fernando and the Japanese Cultural Society’s a capella group, Aishou, performed jazzy carols and Japanese folk tunes respectively. This year’s raffle draw raised the spirit of gifting with 45 enticing prizes.
