It was definitely the party of the year so far as guests went all out to dress for Singapore Repertory Theatre’s (SRT) intergalactic-themed party in the stunning ballroom at The South Beach Hotel. The original Sulu from Star Trek, George Takei himself, kicked off the party by “beaming in” with a video greeting, before the Men in Black, Superman, Chewbacca, and other space heroes hit the dance floor for the rest of the evening. Former Miss Singapore, Rachel Kum, took home the Best Dressed Award with her alien body-painted suit, while the MasterCard table where “Queen Amidala” and “Thor” showed up won Best Dressed Table. An auction was also held to support fundraising for SRT.
