The Malaysia Tatler Ball 2014 last November was much more than a glittering affair, as the magazine also proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary. The grand event featured a mix of brilliant decor and undeniable conviviality. About 500 of society’s creme de la creme came dressed to the nines, ready to party with their friends and peers. Held in the magnificent silver-decorated grand ballroom of the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, the soiree was made merry with the energetic presence of a live band and a sumptuous five-course dinner menu, accompanied by the free flow of liquor and champagne courtesy of Moët Hennessy Diageo. After the awards ceremony was a special performance by Australian operatic sensation Fiona Mariah, who sang favourites such as Drinking Song from Verdi’s La Traviata and Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, ending the evening on a high note.
