Ahead of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony in Bangkok, Official Water Sponsor S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna gathered chefs, gourmands, and select guests at a sparkling BBQ Brunch that featured a majestic barbecue teepee, and followed by a fashion show inspired by the charming characters of S.Pellegrino, Acqua Panna and Sanpellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Awardee Umberto Bombana, Yoshihiro Narisawa from Japan and Richard Ekkebus of Amber in Hong Kong were some of the revered chefs in attendance.

Sanpellegrino S.p.A.’s IBU International Relations Manager Clément Vachon and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy Chair Mason Florence took to the stage to share more about the current edition of S.Pellegrino Young Chef—a global culinary competition in search for next best young chef. Kirk Westaway, Chef de Cuisine of Jaan and 2015 South East Asian finalist, also spoke about how the competition propelled his career just before everyone feasted on the sumptuous spread prepared by Mandarin Oriental's culinary team.
