Call it destiny or good planning—the engagement of Cherie Sassoon and Philippe Bera was held on a Saturday evening exactly one year and three months after they had first met at the very same location: the Sassoon residence in Bukit Timah. 

Hosted by Cherie’s parents Victor and Michelle Sassoon, the engagement party was an intimate affair, with close friends and family who wished the couple all the luck, happiness and joy for their upcoming marriage.

In true Sassoon style, the evening showcased the family’s convivial and hospitable spirit, as well as Michelle’s well-trained eye in event planning—after all, she had previously planned the weddings of her two other daughters, Claire Benjamin and Joelle Cohen.
