Lotus Soh lit up the stage with The Carpenters' I Need to Be In Love at the BMDP Match For Life Gala

The Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP)’s Match For Life Gala in March was an evening of non-stop music. Host Dick Lee got ball rolling with a rousing medley of hits from the 70s, with a brief interlude for welcome speeches by Gala Chair Gerti Iwatake and BMDP honorary president and CEO Jane Prior announced the organisation’s achievement of recruiting 10,000 new donors last year.

The evening continued with performances from Gayle Nerva, Lotus Soh, John Lee and Cynthia Yim, performing decade after decade of hits. The night’s menu, also followed the throwback-theme with palate pleasers such as sustainable tiger prawn cocktails and a deconstructed citrus tart, followed by an auction where items like an Hermès Kelly bag and Singapore Airlines business class tickets for two to Auckland were up for grabs.
