Friends of Singapore Tatler and guests of Vietnamese fashion label Phuong My were invited to an intimate fundraising shopping event

You could smell them well before you saw them. There was no way to count the number of roses, orchids and hydrangeas that covered the walls and decorated the Rose Room at Takashimaya. Friends of Singapore Tatler and guests of Vietnamese fashion label Phuong My were invited to an intimate fundraising shopping event. All the proceeds from the sale of the 15 one-of-a-kind designs, the result of a collaboration between the label’s founder and creative director Tran Phuong My and 11-year-old art protege Gelyn Ong, as well as paintings by the latter, went to Make-A-Wish Foundation. While ladies queued to try on the dresses, others enjoyed small bites by Hashida Garo and busied themselves with wefies. Ladies couldn’t resist picking up a piece or two. Fashion for a cause—who can say no to that?
