Osim founder Ron Sim throws a party at home for his 60th birthday

My mother, Val, had wanted to celebrate my father Ron's birthday in a memorable way since it was his 60th birthday in December last year. Mum started planning for the celebration quietly with her planner months ago because she really wanted to leave Dad with fond memories of his big day. Mum chose "Diamond Jubilee" as the theme of the night complemented by a modern chinoiserie decor for our residence, where the party was held. My brother Roy was the emcee for the night and tickled everyone's funny bones with his candidness. Knowing how Dad loved to sing, Roy surprised the audience by volunteering Dad to sing with him. Eventually, many of Dad's close pals joined in the singing too—it was quite a heartwarming scene indeed. What truly made the night special was when Mum and the three of us presented Dad with a surprise video and a framed photo collage of him at different milestones of his life. We hope he enjoyed himself a lot that evening and happy birthday, Dad!
