The inaugural ball for the non-profit social enterprise CRIB was held at Gardens by the Bay last November. A Game of Thrones-style event, guests were dressed for medieval courts and epic adventures. Following preprandial drinks at Pollen, guests took their seats at the long tables inside the Flower Dome where they were received by CRIB’s co-founders. In her welcome speech, Elaine Kim thanked the mentors of the CRIB Women for Women initiative, highlighting their charity focus for 2016 on empowering single mothers and establishing a social enterprise grant for women-led social enterprises. A charity auction in benefit of CRIB’s philanthropic efforts was also on the agenda, where a blue-violet tanzanite and diamond necklance and a bespoke gown by French Couturier Nicolas Laville went under the hammer.
