Garnering strength from around the world to raise funds for its local humanitarian efforts, the Singapore Red Cross Society held its biannual International Bazaar in March, with support from the diplomatic missions, civic groups, as well as local and international enterprises in Singapore. The event at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza saw 80 stalls showcasing a selection of international delicacies and crafts, with cultural performances to keep bazaar goers entertained throughout the day. Organising chairperson Peggy Jeffs and Singapore Red Cross chairman Tee Tua Ba kicked off the festivities at the opening ceremony, while guest of honour president Tony Tan Keng Yam graced the event in the afternoon, taking a tour of the bazaar before joining the diplomats in attendance at a tea reception.
