Claire Chiang holds to the belief that philanthropy is doing good, and doing good well. For the co-founder of Banyan Tree, it’s one of the guiding principles of running a successful business. This was one of the topics of discussion at social enterprise Crib’s inaugural Legacy and Impact series, which was hosted by British high commissioner Scott Wightman at his residence, Eden Hall. Chiang, along with panel speakers Renyung Ho, assistant vice president and director of Banyan Tree Gallery, and Laura Lee, senior philanthropy advisor at Credit Suisse, shared perceptive insights into the changing philanthropy landscape, touching upon topics including social entrepreneurship and impact investing. The evening was also an opportunity for like-minded guests—CSR executives, those running family foundations and angel investors alike—to connect, powered by networking app, Howdy.
