Lace, sheer panels and sensual cut-outs: guests at the 2015 Passion Ball pulled out all stops to follow this year’s theme, “transparency”. But beyond the diaphanous chiffons and French lace, the theme was deeply ingrained in the night’s cause, the Food from the Heart charity. The fundraising gala dinner in April is in its 11th year and under the stewardship of chairman Ronald Stride, it now runs five programmes that provide food to over 24,000 individuals and families in Singapore.

Guests generously opened up their wallets during the charity auction—so vigorous was the bidding for an Audemars Piguet Ladies’ Royal Oak timepiece that Oliviero Bottinelli, from the board of directors at Audemars Piguet, donated another watch on the spot. Entertaining for the night was Jeremy Monteiro and his band, along with guest singer Fantine.
