Gerti and Katsuji Iwatake with Jane Prior

In an effort to raise awareness among a younger audience to its cause, the Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP) presented a classical concert by pianist Victor Khor at nightspot Zouk. Honorary president and CEO of the BMDP, Jane Prior, spoke of the need for potential donors to meet the rising demand for bone marrow matches, before Khor, joined by The Young Musicians’ Foundation Orchestra, performed moving compositions by Japanese composers Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi. They were accompanied by an elegant holographic dance by young Singaporean ballet dancer Kwok Min Li to the delight of the 350-strong audience.
