The MAXXI Museum's latest exhibition on Italian high fashion, BELLISSIMA. L’Italia dell’alta moda 1945 – 1968, saw Bulgari lending its weight as main sponsor. The museum proved itself to be more than a repository of the past, but also a host to the present when a fundraising gala dinner held at the museum itself brought together Roman high society and international press. The dinner was enlivened by a performance of the artist Vanessa Beecroft.
