A privileged coterie of Singapore Tatler readers were invited to be artists for a day as they learnt, under the tutelage of an enamel painter, Thanh le Ngoc, how to paint the dial of a timepiece. Mr Thanh came all the way from the Jaquet Droz manufacture in Switzerland to conduct this session in Singapore, which marks the first time it's been held in Southeast Asia. The private room at Adrift at Marina Bay Sands was converted into a mini classroom as the artists paid great attention to their masterpieces, which were then fired up in the oven and presented to the guests as a memento of the enjoyable evening.
