Chaumet est une Fête—Chaumet is a celebration—was the inspiration behind the French jeweller's newest high jewellery collection, and the theme of its launch party in Paris. On a warm afternoon in the French capital, we were ferried from Place Vendôme in vintage trams to the Musée des Arts Forains, where a carnival-like atmosphere had been created. A master of a ceremonies ushered the party into the main atrium, which was replete with merry-go-rounds and carnival games that kept guests busy (and competitive!) until the late hours of the night. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the evening was a model showcase of the exquisite jewellery in the house mirrors.
