Mexican Independence Day is also known as "Grito del Dolores" and is celebrated every year on 16 September. 

This year, the 204th anniversary was hosted by His Excellency Ambassador of Mexico and Rogelio Granguillhome at The Ballroom at Fullerton Hotel and was attended by local ministers Inderjit Singh, David Ong Kim Huat and Maliki Osman.

The event celebrated the continuous good and warm ties between Singapore and Mexico, especially in the areas of culture and education. Mexican officials have visited Singapore to exchange experiences in areas such as transport, urban development & port management, and will continue to explore new frontiers.
