Raising the roof and eyebrows, the Pagani Huayra Roadster marries art and racing science and is headed your way. Set to unveil at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, creation company founder and chief designer, Horacio Pagani may well have set a new benchmark for a car that's equal parts art and racing science.
After six years of development, this 764hp, 1000Nm luxury-packed roadster weighs just 1280kg. That's 80kg lighter than the Huayra Coupe which, as Pagani points out, "was already the lightest hypercar on sale at the time. There's also a new seven-speed gearbox that's lighter than the unit in the coupe. And because, roof or no, there's a 6-liter twin turbo V12 calling the shots, there is some clever active aerodynamic trickery too. Fitted with bespoke Pirelli tires, this is the first-ever road car capable of achieving 1.8g of lateral acceleration while rolling on road-legal rubber.
Aston Martin AM-BR001
Resembling a sleek speedster right out from the Tron Legacy movie, the AM-BR001 is destined to become one of the defining hypercar of this decade. Aston Martin has chosen the Canadian International Autoshow as the venue for the official unveiling of its 200mph+ carbon fiber hypercar, the AM-RB001.
Developed in partnership with Red Bull Racing and its superstar Formula 1 designer, Adrian Newey, the AM-RB001 will boast a mid-mounted naturally aspirated V12 engine and a one-to-one power to weight ratio.It will also use cutting-edge racing developed aerodynamic trickery so that it behaves like an F1 car in the bends and at the limits of grip.
Even though this car won't be going into production until 2018 and when it does it will come with a £2 million (SGD$3.54 million) price tag, every one of the 150 planned examples (25 of which will be track-only models) are already sold out.
Many of the Bugatti Chiron's associated figures are common knowledge. It has 16 cylinders and an eight-liter engine capacity. It sends 1500hp and 1600Nm of torque to all four wheels and can comfortably cruise at 400km/h. And then there's the cost -- $2.7 million (SGD$3.83 million) before customization.

The first production Chirons won't be arriving with their owners until by the end of 2017 and there will only be 70 Chirons on the road around the world.
