To celebrate SG50 this year, Coca Cola had one simple objective in mind; to find out what the people living in Singapore feel really makes them Singaporean. So, quite simply, they put this question to the test and never has there been quite such a pretty result thanks to the five, limited-edition, collectible bottles, each imprinted with a key Singapore landmark or memory.
First, there is the bottle that commemorates the bird singing corners, where generations gather to listen to the bird chimes and catch-up, second takes everyone on a trip back to their childhood with the childhood game of five stones. Next is closer to home, with the picture of the iconic HDB flats where many a Singaporean calls home and with that in mind, the fourth design celebrates the tradition of National Service. Last but certainly not least is the fifth design of the MRT lines, celebrating the rail route we all rely on for our daily comings and goings.
Speaking of these new designs, Gill McLaren, General Manager for Coca-Cola Singapore said: "50 years is a coming-of-age and Singapore has developed into a nation with a strong culture, underpinned by shared traditions and experiences. Coca-Cola has been bringing people together in Singapore for nearly 80 years, and we wanted to give people the opportunity to reminisce, over a bottle of Coke, about the places and icons that make Singapore unique. We hope that the bottles will evoke happy memories for people and create special shared moments between friends, family members, colleagues and even neighbours.”
Want to get your hands on one of these limited-edition lovelies? Well, it's quite easy really as they will be available at all supermarkets until August.
