If you were wondering what would take the place of the famed and fantastic Annie Leibovitz exhibition at The Science and Museum, ladies and gents, wonder no more as we can tell you it will be Da Vinci: Shaping the Future.
This ground-breaking exhibition will showcase original masterpieces from da Vinci's famed Codex Atlanticus and will bring this work to Asia for the very first time. As well as presenting 26 original pages of Codex Atlanticus, da Vinci's most famed notebook, there will be six original paintings from the School of Leonardo as well as three masterpieces all the way from one of the world's most prestigious museums, Bibiloteca Ambrosiana, in Italy.
As if that's not enough, there will be five contemporary art installations by five top up and coming international and local artists including Singapore's very own Donna Ong. Taking inspiration from da Vinci's work in maths, science, technology, architecture and even music, the new and inventive installations are designed to reflect how strikingly relevant his thinking is even today.
Tickets for Da Vinci: Shaping the future go on sale October 27 with the exhibition opening November 15. For more information see here
